What is Blurry Vision?
Blurry vision is unclear or unfocused vision and may be minor and a result of refractive errors or it could be a symptom of a more serious retinal disease. Many eye conditions, such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration show few or no symptoms in their earliest stages.
Vision loss treatment is most effective in the earliest stages of degenerative eye conditions. Many patients overlook this symptom and consider it to be one that is temporary and will soon pass. We strongly advise all of our patients to seek attention right away if they are experiencing blurry vision.
Vision Loss can be an Early Symptom of Vitreoretinal Conditions
Notify your eye doctor right away if you experience blurry vision that lasts longer than a few days as it can be a sign or symptom of a serious condition, such as:
- Glaucoma
- Diabetic Retinopathy
- Eye Cancer
- Macular Degeneration
- Retinal Tear
- Retinal Detachment
Undergoing regular eye exams allows your eye care professional to gain a better understanding of your vision and can better detect the early warning signs of many serious vision conditions and diseases.
Since the treatment often depends on your particular condition, we encourage you to schedule an appointment at South Bay Retina to get the proper diagnosis. Our own Dr. Narain is an experienced ophthalmologist and retina specialist. He will help you see clearly again!
